Blip.tv announces Evan Gotlib as Vice President of Advertising Sales

New York, NY April 27, 2009 – Online media company blip.tv announced today that Evan Gotlib has joined the company as Vice President of Advertising Sales. Gotlib comes to blip.tv from The Walt Disney Company where he was the Director of Advertising & Business Development for Ideal Bite. Gotlib’s extensive sales experience covers both traditional and digital media, making him an asset to blip.tv as it expands its presence across the Web and beyond.

As head of blip.tv’s sales organization, Gotlib will spearhead blip.tv’s direct sales efforts and develop and implement a national sales strategy. Additionally, Gotlib will manage advertising operations and work with blip.tv’s content and technology teams to develop and build new advertising products.

Gotlib is a seasoned player in the advertising sales industry. At Disney/Ideal Bite, Gotlib developed a sales strategy, built and managed a national sales team, and coordinated sales efforts between editorial, marketing and PR. Prior to Disney, Gotlib was a corporate sales director for the Time Inc. Media group, and managed a $175 million account list.

Gotlib began his career at Conde Nast, first as an advertising sales assistant at Details Magazine, then an account manager at Conde Net, travel director at Conde Nast Traveler, and ultimately advertising manager at Conde Nast Traveler. Gotlib was named the 2003 Condé Nast Traveler Sales Person of the year. Gotlib received a B.A. from Vassar College.
